Are memos saved automatically?
Open memos are saved automatically on this Mac. Text, memo names, tab order, the selected memo, and window state are restored on the next launch. To keep an external file copy too, use “ファイルに保存…” (Save to File) or “別名で保存…” (Save As).
How do I hide a window without deleting its memos?
Use the red button to hide the window, then bring it back from the EdgeMemo menu-bar icon. Closing a memo or pressing Command + W deletes it. A confirmation appears before a memo containing text is deleted.
Which file formats are supported?
You can open and save .txt, .md, .markdown, and .text files. Save with “ファイルに保存…” (Save to File) or “別名で保存…” (Save As). “全文コピー” (Copy Full Text) copies the whole memo, regardless of what is selected.
How do I make a memo take up less space?
Use “折りたたむ” (Collapse) to shrink the memo body while keeping the window visible. It frees up a little room on your desktop.
How do I show line numbers?
Turn on “行番号を表示” (Show Line Numbers) in “設定” (Settings) > “入力” (Input). It applies to every memo window. Line numbers appear only on screen; they are not included in copied text or saved files.
What if a file I opened before cannot be found?
Check whether the file was moved or deleted. If “ファイルを選び直す…” (Choose File Again) appears, select its current location. If unsaved text is still on screen, keep a copy first with “全文コピー” (Copy Full Text) or “別名で保存…” (Save As).
What should I do if I cannot save?
Your text stays on screen. Keep a copy with “全文コピー” (Copy Full Text), check the destination, and try saving again. If the app was forcibly terminated during a save, reopen it and compare the restored text with the destination file.
How do I report a problem?
Tell us the app version and build number, macOS version, what went wrong, the steps to reproduce it, and any message shown. Include memo text only where needed to explain the issue, and leave out confidential information.
