Memo and settings storage
Memo text and names, tab order, the selected memo, window state, text display settings, and links to opened files are stored on your Mac. They are used to edit, display, and save memos and restore them when you next open the app.
File access
The app accesses files you select when opening or saving text. It also checks modification times and sizes to detect changes made by other apps.
Temporary files containing the memo being saved may be created in the destination folder or a macOS temporary location. They are deleted after saving or on the next launch only if the app can verify that it created them and that they have not changed. Files that cannot be verified are not deleted automatically.
Sending and sharing information
Memo text, filenames, and file paths are not automatically sent to the operator’s servers. The app does not serve ads, track users, or use third-party usage analytics.
Copying text places it on the clipboard; saving a file writes it to the destination you choose. Files in cloud-synced folders may be synced according to that service’s settings. Support and policy links open in a web browser.
Apple handles App Store downloads, purchases, and refunds. The operator does not receive payment-card details. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles your information.
Retention and deletion
Open memos remain in the app’s storage on your Mac until you close or delete them. Settings and window state remain until replaced or until the app’s stored data is deleted.
Memos saved as files remain after you close them in the app or remove the app itself. Delete unwanted files in Finder. The app’s stored data may also remain after removing the app; contact support if you need help deleting it.
Copies in backups or cloud storage are retained according to that destination’s settings. Deleting a memo in the app does not remove exported files or existing backups. Delete unwanted copies at their storage locations.
Information received through support
Names, email addresses, messages, and attachments received by email are used to answer inquiries, follow up, and investigate problems.
Email services handle the sending, receiving, and storage of support messages as needed to provide support. Information is kept for as long as needed for that purpose and deleted when no longer needed.
Personal data is not shared with third parties without the person’s consent, except as provided by law.
The operator takes measures to protect personal data it holds from unauthorized access, disclosure, and loss. Details of these measures are available on request to the extent that disclosure would not compromise security.

For questions about this policy or requests to access, correct, stop the use of, or delete support information held by the operator, email [email protected]. Requests are handled in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity.

If our data practices change, this page and its update date will be revised.
